Smartraveller says Australians get a free visa on arrival for stays of less than 60 days. Mauritius's Passport and Immigration Office country list (2022) shows Australia as "No Visa", and says tourists may be allowed up to 6 months per calendar year case by case. Neither is a guarantee: the officer decides your actual stay. Your passport must be valid beyond your intended stay, and you need a return ticket, funds and confirmed accommodation or a sponsor. Business visits are separate; no employment without a residence permit.
