Governments advise against all travel to most of Iraq due to terrorism, kidnapping and armed conflict. Some allow essential travel to the Kurdistan Region.
Both the UK FCDO and US State Department currently advise against all travel to Lebanon, with the strongest warnings on the south and border areas. Commercial flights have been repeatedly suspended. Standard travel insurance does not cover you.
Governments advise against all travel to Russia because of the war in Ukraine, risk of arbitrary detention of foreign nationals, terrorism, and severely limited consular support.
Both the UK FCDO and US State Department advise against all travel to Ukraine. Ukrainian airspace remains closed to commercial flights; entry is by land from Poland. Standard travel insurance does not cover you.
Both the UK FCDO and US State Department advise reconsidering travel, with strongest warnings for Gaza, the West Bank, and border areas with Lebanon and Syria. Tel Aviv and much of central Israel typically remain accessible with heightened caution. Insurance for restricted areas is not covered by standard policies.
