The State Department says US citizens do not need a tourist visa for stays of 90 days or less. You must register for and receive approval of an e-Arrival Card before arriving by air, land or sea at imm.gov.bn; this is separate from a visa. Brunei Immigration's instructions ask for a valid passport, travel details and accommodation details, and give a confirmation reference number. Your passport must be valid on entry and for 6 months beyond your arrival date, with one blank page per stamp. Business-trip eligibility, ticket and funds requirements are not checked.
