Do UK citizens need a visa?
Do not travel. A visa is required and governments advise against all travel to Russia.
Russia requires UK citizens to get a visa before travel — either a traditional tourist visa via a Russian embassy or, for eligible nationalities, an e-visa. Since the invasion of Ukraine, every major Western government advises against all travel to Russia. Flights are limited, sanctions have cut off most Western bank cards, and foreign nationals have been arbitrarily detained.
For UK British Citizen passport holders, tourism or short business trips.
